Security topics.
Right now Im working on security topics! This is by FAR my weakest area according to all the tests.
I am approaching this from the ground up. Reading exam certification guide. Taking notes. Try it out on the lab. All the things i get wrong, i read whitepapers/documentation on. This will hopefully get down alot of concepts that i tend to screw up.
On some security points I do have the concepts down, but the details run me over when a scenario is presented. I will have to go through this material over and over again to get it down.
Note to self: I need to take a complete written prep test to get in shape for the real thing
I also need to work on my discipline. I deffinately get the best work done when i sit down, put in some ear-plugs, and concentrate. Lately ive started reading on the computer and taking direct notes as i read. Dont know if this is working out if i want it to, but im giving it a shot.
I still have some things on my “topics-to-explore” list.. For example: Testing out summary-route’s AD when being used at ASBR and at an ABR (AD=254, and AD=110) respectively. I need to see this in action.
All in all, going through it, trying to memorize the stuff I need to memorize. To that extent im using Flashcarddb.com which is pretty good and simple to use.
